About Classes

  • What happens if my child is in different level with the others in his or her class?
    Don’t worry! Our specially-trained instructors keep observing and teaching every students based on their own progression. We’re constantly evaluating our students and are very flexible when it comes to working with each child’s individual strengths and weaknesses!
  • How do I know what program should my child join?
    You can easily visit our Program page to find you program, or give us a Call for more info!
  • Do I need to change classes when my child changes levels?
    It depends! We will do our best to help you keep your same day and time when your child advances a level. If we can’t, we will work with you to find a new day and time that fits your schedule.
  • Can I request my child’s lessons to be taught by his or her favorite teacher?
    We understand that different students respond to different teaching styles and we’ll make sure your child has the opportunity to receive the full learning experience. While we cannot make any promises, we’ll certainly take your requests into account and try to accommodate your preferences as best as we can.
  • Can I wear shoes inside the school area?
    Shoes are not allowed in the school areas. We provide adult-size slippers at the entrance, but children should bring their own indoor slippers. Please change your shoes to help maintain safety and hygiene for everyone
  • What happens if my favorite instructor is moved to different lesson time?
    Sometimes our instructors need to change working times to accommodate their own life schedules. However, we can assure you that all of our instructors undergo a thorough hiring process and an extensive training period. You can trust that they’re all fun, patient, and more than qualified to ensure the good experience of our swimmers.
  • Can I sit on the pool deck to watch my kid?
    We offer a comfortable, air-conditioned viewing area for you to watch your child’s lessons. However, we kindly request that you avoid participating or engaging with your child during the lesson, as it can be distracting for both the student and the instructor. Building a strong student-instructor relationship is crucial. If you have questions or comments, please feel free to approach the front desk for assistance. Thank you for your understanding and for respecting this important courtesy.

About Enrollment

  • What is annual membership and how it works?
    An annual membership fee is required for every student while enrolled in our program. This fee automatically renews each year as long as enrollment is active. If you have unused makeup tokens but are no longer enrolled in regular classes, you may still schedule makeup classes through the app as long as your membership is valid. If your membership has expired, a $25 renewal fee is required to reactivate your account.
  • Do you cancel lessons due to bad weather?
    Our usual policy is to remain open even in rainy, sleety, or snowy conditions. However, in the event that we do have to cancel lessons, we will notify you via email. You can also check the status of the classes through our mobile app for updates.
  • What do I need to bring and prepare for the swimming lessons?
    Please wear indoor slippers, and change shoes upon entering the facility.Do not eat within 1 hour before your class.Students who wish to use the shower room should bring their own shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towel.
  • Can I change the scheduled after lesson have started?
    We understand that families have busy schedules to manage. If you need to adjust your child’s swim time, and there is availability at their level, we’re here to assist you in finding a more convenient time that suits your schedule.
  • How do I schedule a make-up class?
    You can arrange your makeup class through our WD Swim School App. The makeup schedule is available to view 3 days in advance, and you can book directly in the app. If you don’t have the app or are unsure how to book, please contact us—we’ll be happy to assist you.
  • What if my child can not make it to the class?
    Makeup classes are available only in cases of illness or family emergencies and are subject to schedule availability. Please report your absence at least 5 minutes before class through the WD Swim School App. After reporting an absence, a makeup token will be issued by the end of the day. Tokens are valid for one year from the date of the missed class. If you don’t have the app or need help booking, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
  • Do you offer make-ups for missed swim lessons?
    Yes. As long as you mark the absence before the class begins, you will receive a makeup token by the end of the day. Each token is valid for 1 year from the issue date. Once you receive the token and your annual membership is active, you can schedule a makeup class through the WD Swim School App (schedules are available 3 days in advance). If your annual membership has expired, you will need to renew it by paying the $25 annual fee to reactivate your account.
  • How do I register a class?
    You can register through our website or contact us directly. If you’re unsure which program or level is best for your child, we’ll be happy to guide you.

About Payment

  • Why do I need to give a notice before the withdrawing from a class?
    Because our swim programs are in high demand, we usually have a waitlist of families eager to join. Providing advanced notice allows us to adjust our schedule and offer your spot to another student.
  • What if I join the middle of the month / session?
    No worries! We’ll adjust your payments as needed to ensure that you’re not overcharged.
  • Why do I have to pay in advance?
    Our payment secures your child’s enrollment and guarantees their spot in our program. Without payment, the spot will be released to the public and may be taken by another student.
  • What payment method do you accept?
    You will be paying with credit cards/ debit cards added in your account to secure the spot perpetually. Please contact our front desk team if you planned to pay in other methods.
  • When will be program fee be charged?
    Tuition is charged on the first business day of each month for the following month’s lessons. For example, on September 1st we will charge for October tuition, and on October 1st we will charge for November tuition

  • Why should my child take swim lessons year-round?
    Swim lessons are always in season! Swim lessons are offered year-round because it helps our students maintain and improve their swimming skills and knowledge of water safety. Our perpetual lessons are also convenient as they’re provided on a schedule that works with yours. You’ll always have the option to make changes to your lesson times, if needed.
  • Do you offer refunds?
    Unfortunately, we do not issue these. However, we are glad to hearing from you and we will work with you to alleviate your concern.
